Not quite as large as the statement pair, but still big enough to be noticed. Inspired the fracturing of crystals and the bisection of insect wings. These sterling silver earrings are surprisingly lightweight for their size.
Each pair is one of a kind and made to order and created using recycled sterling silver wire. The top fractured link is soldered to a sterling silver post with a larger polygon dangling below. The geometric forms are crisscrossed with lengths of sterling silver creating a look reminiscent of dragonfly wings or spider webs. Finished with a brushed patina and sealed them with wax.
The first pair of these earrings were created as singles during the Earring A Day challenge. These earrings pair great together but also work well with the small fractured studs for an edgy asymmetric look.
